Bonnie Blazer-Yost, together with two post-doctoral fellows (David Audu and Gowthami Mahendran), four graduate students (Fatemeh Omidi Bidgoli, Maryam Torabi, Jane Obiako, and Audrey Kruse) and one undergraduate (Snehvir Kaur), attended the American Physiology Summit in Minneapolis from April 23-26, 2026. All attendees presented their research. This is the annual meeting of American Physiological Society (APS) and typically has an average of 3,000 attendees.

The 2025 American Physiology Summit was held April 24-27 in Baltimore. This is the annual meeting of the American Physiological Society (APS).
Prof. Bonnie L. Blazer-Yost was the 2025 recipient of the Hugh Davson Distinguished Lectureship.
The Hugh Davson Distinguished Lectureship of the Cell & Molecular Physiology Section is the Section’s highest award, bestowed to a scientist who has made major and meritorious contributions to the scientific areas represented by the Section in honor of Davson.
The recipient delivers the honorary Hugh Davson Distinguished Lecture and is recognized at the American Physiology Summit. The awardee may also be invited to contribute a manuscript based upon the lecture for publication in the American Journal of Physiology: Cell Physiology.
The Hydrocephalus Research Symposium was held on November 3, 2023 in Indianapolis. The symposium was presented by the IU School of Medicine, IU Health, and the IU Indianapolis School of Science.
