Degrees & Programs

Explore graduate and undergraduate programs

Earth science is an interdisciplinary field of study that explores the material of the Earth, natural phenomena, and modern concerns, like how our global climate is changing and how that change may affect humans.

We offer academic programs for every educational level, whether you’re seeking your first undergraduate degree or are considering pursuing a Ph.D. And the career opportunities after graduation are equally diverse.

All degrees awarded are Indiana University degrees.

Geology

B.A.
Geology - Bachelor of Arts

You will use your foundations in biology, chemistry, physics, and math to understand earth systems and earth processes. At the end of the degree program, you’ll apply what you’ve learned in a capstone experience. The capstone could be a regional geology field trip, an internship, or a specialized seminar course.

The Bachelor of Arts degree allows you to take a larger number of electives than the Bachelor of Science degree.
