2025-26 Awards
- Graduate student Stella Snyder has received a prestigious National Institutes of Health (NIH) F31 Predoctoral Fellowship, which supports promising doctoral researchers pursuing advanced training in biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research. Her funded project, "Interventions for Fear of Cancer Recurrence: Examining Effects of Skill Practice," is conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Catherine Mosher.
- Dr. Cristine Czachowski and colleagues have received an official Notice of Award from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) for the Training Grant on Genetic Aspects of Alcoholism (T32). This $1.8 million grant supports predoctoral trainees as they develop the knowledge, research skills, and interdisciplinary perspectives needed to advance understanding of the genetic and biological factors underlying alcohol use disorders. Dr. Czachowski has led this highly successful training program for many years and continues to provide exceptional leadership in a highly competitive funding environment.
- Dr. Brandon Oberlin has received funding from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) for a supplement to his project, Virtual Reality Facilitation of Recovery from Opioid Use Disorder (R41 DA055405-01S1). The award supports participation in I-Corps at NIH, an entrepreneurial training program that helps researchers explore the commercial potential and real-world impact of their innovations.
Student funding opportunities for research
The Center for Research and Learning helps connect undergraduate students with research opportunities and faculty mentors. The programs could be internally or externally funded.
