Academics

A passion for the science behind behavioral, mental, and social processes

As a student in the Department of Psychology, you’ll be part of a dynamic learning community. Whether you’re an undergraduate who wants to develop skills that can be useful in almost any career, or a graduate student committed to researching the neuroscience of addiction, you will find peers and faculty that are passionate about developing a scientific understanding of why people think and behave the way they do.

We offer two undergraduate degrees, as well as a master’s in industrial/organizational psychology. Our doctoral degree programs are highly competitive.

Learn from experts in the field

Our faculty teachers and researchers are leaders in addiction neuroscience, clinical psychology, and industrial/organizational psychology. You’ll be inspired in the classroom, and encouraged to collaborate on research in their labs, even as an undergraduate. Whether you’re considering a future as a clinician or are interested in scientific research experience that you can carry into a career in education, law, or industry, you will be mentored by the best.

We believe in fostering a strong sense of academic community, and work aggressively to recruit and retain a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
