The Dean of Science Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing their first undergraduate degree with a major in the School of Science.
Continuing science majors with a minimum of 25 credit hours completed at IU Indianapolis by the end of the Spring semester during which application is being made and at least a 3.50 GPA may apply for this competitive scholarship.
Contingent upon availability of funds, a Dean of Science Scholar may be supported for additional years provided that the student has eligible unspent funds, continues in a degree program in the School of Science as evidenced by enrollment patterns, and maintains an overall GPA of at least 3.50. An award recipient may hold only one scholarship funded by the School of Science. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
*Up to $2,000 for in-state students
Up to $1,000 for students from states participating in the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP)
Up to $4,000 of out-of-state students beyond those states participating in MSEP.
