The School of Science Dean’s Scholars Program is awarded to beginning School of Science freshmen.
Contingent upon availability of funds, a Dean’s Scholar who is a beginning major may be supported for up to eight regular (Fall/Spring) semesters provided that the student continues in a degree program in the School of Science as evidenced by enrollment patterns and maintains an overall GPA of at least 3.50. An award recipient may hold only one scholarship funded by the School of Science. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
Students who have applied under test-included admission by November 15, as incoming freshmen for the following Fall semester, who have a minimum high school GPA of 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) and who score 1310 or higher on the SAT or 28 or higher on the ACT may be eligible for this scholarship.
Students who have applied under test-optional admission by November 15, as incoming freshmen for the following Fall semester, who have a minimum high school GPA of 3.90 (on a 4.00 scale) may be eligible for this scholarship.
Applications received on or before November 15 will be given priority consideration. The number of scholarships and amount of each scholarship varies depending upon the number of eligible students.
Application:
Students who have applied for admission by November 15 for Fall admission and meet eligibility requirements will automatically be considered.
Award notifications will be sent to all recipients no later than December.
*Admission-Based Scholarships use Critical Reading/Verbal + Math Scores for the total SAT ONLY. Writing scores are not factored for consideration. Comparable composite ACT scores considered.
