Biology graduate student places third in regional 3MT competition

Saturday, April 16, 2016

INDIANAPOLIS - The 3MT® competition was developed by the University of Queensland, Australia and challenges Ph.D. students to effectively communicate their research to a non-specialist audience in the three minutes with only one slide without a script or cue cards. Immediately following her preliminary presentation of "Use of Stem Cells to Build a 3-Dimensional Retina in a Dish," Akshaya was invited by ProQuest, a global information-content and technology company, to participate in a few of their upcoming meetings to present her 3MT and discuss her 3MT and grad school experience.
