Our vision

The School of Science at IU Indianapolis aspires to be a globally recognized hub for scientific discovery and learning where breakthroughs drive solutions, inspire change and uplift communities across Indiana and beyond.

Our mission is to relentlessly pursue student-centered academic excellence by creatively educating the next generation of scientists, providing personalized student experiences, conducting transformative scientific research, advancing economic and workforce development through science and innovation and serving our local and global communities.

- Champion innovative academics — Deliver future-focused science and mathematics education that integrates emerging knowledge, fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and high-impact teaching while inspiring more students to actively engage and thrive in our academic programs.
