Junior biology student named IUPUI's 2016 most outstanding male student

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

INDIANAPOLIS - Science students represented half of this year's Top 20. The selection of IUPUI outstanding students was announced at the Top 100 Outstanding Students Recognition Dinner on April 8.

To the surprise and delight of attendees at the awards dinner, Otun sung his acceptance speech. Otun, a biology student, aspires to be a neurosurgeon.

Zachary Bennett, Joseph Bondi, Mark Daiuto, Faisal Khan, Ayodamola Otun, Greg Rothchild, Bryce Wray-Nelson were honored in the Top 10 Male Students. Kelly Moors, Melanie Scheive and Dana Yenko were named to the Top 10 Female Students.

Selection of the 2016 most outstanding students began with faculty and staff nominating more than 2,000 students. From the top 100 female and male students, a panel of alumni, faculty and staff chose the top 10 female and male students. The IUPUI Alumni Council and the Student Organization for Alumni Relations (SOAR) sponsor the event.
