INDIANAPOLIS – With 50 students on this year's Top 100 list, the Purdue School of Science at IUPUI breaks its previous record of 47 honorees set back in 2017. This year's Top 100 honorees will be recognized at a virtual reception on April 9, 2021.
“It is wonderful to see so many School of Science students recognized among the 2021 IUPUI Top 100 students,” said School of Science Dean John DiTusa. “The record number of Science students earning this distinction is a tribute to the hard work and perseverance of our students, even in the face of a pandemic. The faculty and staff of the School feel a great sense of pride in seeing these students appreciated for their accomplishments and I offer each an enthusiastic congratulations.”
During the reception, the Top 10 and Most Outstanding Student were also announced. The Top 10 students included four of the school’s undergraduate students, and IUPUI’s Most Outstanding Student is a biology major.
The Alumni Council and SOAR sponsor the annual awards. A panel of alumni, faculty and staff select the top students based on nominations by IUPUI faculty and staff. Top 100 students show strength in scholastic achievement, collegiate and co-curricular activities and civic/community service.
